Charles S. Winner, senior partner of the law firm Fisher and Winner, became an associate of the firm in 1968. In 1971, he was made a partner of the Firm, and its name was changed to Fisher & Winner. He has established practice concentrations in all aspects of estate and trust law, business association law and tax law. Mr. Winner also co-directs the Firm's guardianship practice, which now includes over 220 guardianships. Mr. Winner attended the University of Maryland School of Engineering and the University of Baltimore School of Business. He received his law degree in 1964 from the University of Baltimore School of Law and is admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals of Maryland, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States Tax Court. Recently recognized by his peers for his distinguished career and accomplishment, Mr. Winner is included in Woodward White, Inc.'s 2003-2004 "Best Lawyers in America." Throughout his legal career, he has participated in the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association and as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and the American Health Lawyers Association. Mr. Winner currently serves on many committees, including the Ethics Committee, of which he is a past chair, the Citizen's Law Related Education Committee, and, as Section Counsel, the Arbitration and Mediation Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. He is a Trustee of the Baltimore Bar Association Insurance Trust, Board member and Chair of the Lifebridge Audit and Compliance Committee, Chair of the Associated Jewish Community Federation Planned Giving Roundtable, Secretary/Treasurer of Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital. Mr. Winner is a frequent speaker on estate planning and administration, tax planning, business, and legal ethics.
