Karen Kalil-Brown

Karen Kalil-Brown is vice president of National & Theater Security Programs (NTSP) for Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems. In this role, she is responsible for the majority of air and missile defense programs within Raytheon IDS for a variety of domestic and international customers. Previously, Karen has served in a variety of technical and program leadership positions including Future Naval Capabilities, Air Defense Radar Systems, Air Traffic Control Systems, and Patriot Software and Systems Engineering. She has recently conducted a strategic rotation as director of Talent Management, Learning and Organizational Effectiveness. Karen’s new business initiative experience includes capture manager for the U. S. Coast Guard’s Fast Response Cutter (FRC-B). As director of System Requirements and Effectiveness for the Zumwalt DDG 1000 program, Karen was responsible for the development of mission system design as well as high-level coordination with the U.S. Navy’s program office for development and maintenance of system requirements. Throughout Karen’s 25 years experience at Raytheon, she has served as program manager for Patriot Software; department manager, Raytheon Software Engineering Directorate and lead engineer for THAAD Radar Software. Karen graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and economics. She is also a graduate of Raytheon’s Management Development Program, XLS, Executive Leadership Summit and the Defense Acquisition University.
