James Shadid

Hon. James Shadid is a 1979 graduate of the Hilltop and currently a federal judge for the Central District of Illinois. Shadid earned a Juris Doctorate in 1983, then worked in private practice until being appointed a judge for the 10th Circuit of Illinois in 2001. He also was a part-time public defender for 15 years and commissioner of the Illinois Court of Claims for five years. He is a member of the Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame. Shadid will be the Alumni representative on the board.
