David A. Haggerty began serving as Chairman of the Board, CEO and President of the USTA in January 2013. Previously, he served one term each as First Vice President, 2011-12, Vice President, 2009-10, and Director at Large, 2007-08. As Chairman of the Board, CEO and President, Haggerty is the chairman of the US Open. He is also chairman of the Compensation Committee and serves on the Major Construction Oversight Committee and the International Committee, as well as serving as a member of the board of directors of USTA Serves, the national charitable foundation of the USTA. In addition, he serves on the Grand Slam Board and is Vice President of the ITF Board, is Chairman of both the ITF Women’s Circuit Committee and the ITF Joint Media Commission, and serves on the Finance Committee. He received a tennis scholarship to The George Washington University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and was the No. 1 singles player on the tennis team, serving as captain for three of his four years at the school. Haggerty lives in Pennington, N.J., and has five children.
