Jan Baisch has spent his career specializing in representing clients with claims involving personal injury and wrongful death, obtaining more jury verdicts in excess of $1 million than any lawyer in Oregon’s history. His current practice, Law Offices of Jan Baisch, is located in downtown Portland. He previously worked in the Portland, Oregon law offices of Pozzi, Wilson & Atchison and later for the Paulson Law Firm. Jan earned a bachelor of science degree from Oregon State University. He received his J.D. from Lewis & Clark College, Northwestern School of Law in 1974 where he also held the position of Adjunct Professor from 1997-2007. Jan has sponsored a trial advocacy seminar at the law school and regularly serves as a mentor to graduating law students. Jan is married to Marcia Baisch, who received a master of arts in teaching from the Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in 1974. They have a son, Thomas “Tom” Baisch, a Seattle attorney who received both his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Washington. Jan’s late uncle Clarence “Reuben” Baisch ”˜51 was a health and physical education major and played football at Lewis & Clark. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1978. Reuben Baisch was married to the former Joanne Reineman ”˜53 who was also a health and physical education major.
