An attorney and former journalist, Loretta has more than 15 years’ experience in media relations, marketing, communications and public affairs. She has deep experience in energy efficiency, renewable energy and information technology, working with clients including United Technologies Corp., SunEdison, Schott Solar, Coca-Cola, Greif, Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Interface and the American Architectural Foundation. Prior to joining Qorvis MSLGROUP, Loretta managed the U.S. Department of Energy’s pioneering clean energy multi-media news website, EnergyEmpowers, where her ground-breaking work on earned her the prestigious Secretary’s Appreciation Award. She previously served as communications director for SunEdison, putting the start-up renewable energy company on the map and driving positive press and analyst coverage during a challenging time of executive turn-over. She worked closely with regulatory affairs to open new U.S. markets. Loretta began her work with SunEdison as editorial director of a boutique PR firm, developing top-level media placements, opinion columns and influencer communications. Loretta has served on the PR committees for the Solar Energy Industries Association and the Geothermal Energy Association. She is a former senior editor of InfoWorld, a leading technology publication, and has a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law.
