E Marshall Wood Jr

Mr. Wood is a 39 year resident of Amherst. He owns a home in the town, for 30 years owned a small business in the medical device industry headquarted in Amherst & consulted for the device industry and for 5 years was Project Administrator in the Eire County Department of Senior Services. Mr. Wood has developed knowledge in strategic development and planning, training and human resource requirements, cost benefit analysis & contracting (best practices) and transportation. Additionally, he has acquired an understanding of federal, New York State and local laws in these fields. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California University of Pennsylvania and completed advanced business courses in management at the University at Buffalo. He received training from the American Management Association (finance, marketing & sales) and has achieved Yellow Belt status in Lean Six Sigma. Affiliations include: current member of the Amherst Industrial Development Agency, past member of The Greater Buffalo-Niagara Regional Transportation Council, past Chairman of the University at Buffalo Blue and White Club, member on the Amherst Finance Committee, past Chairman of the Amherst Government Study Committee, initial Amherst Purchasing Director, and current member of the American Legion (Post 1672), Veterans of Foreign Wars (Post 416) and Vietnam Veterans of America (Chapter 77).
