George Gorton

George Gorton is president of The California Group, a political consulting firm, CEO of Direct Communication and chairman of Governor Pete Wilson's Reapportionment Committee. He previously served as the national college director for The Committee for the Re-election of President Nixon in 1972, Chief of Staff for the California Republican Party in 1975, and as campaign manager and lead consultant for Pete Wilson for U.S. Senate in 1982. Mr. Gorton was a delegate to the 1984 Republican National Convention and was the lead consultant in 1988 for Pete Wilson of U.S. Senate and in 1990, campaign manager and lead consultant for Pete Wilson for Governor of California.
