Art Torres

Art Torres is a Consultant to three California Senate committees: Joint California Senate and Assembly Committee for Election Law Reform, the California Senate Select Committee on Children and Youth, and the California Senate Sub-Committee on Medical Education & Health Needs. He is also an administrative and legislative assistant to State Senator Mervyn Dymally. Previously, Mr. Torres served as the National and State Legislative Director for the United Farm Workers of America after a failed bid for the California Assembly in 1972. Mr. Torres also was State Senator David Roberti's Field Representative handling constituent issues and a Legislative Advocate, specializing in consumer, welfare, prison law reform and civil rights for California Rural Legal Assistance.
