Peter L Szanton

Peter L. Szanton has been president of the New York City-Rand Institute since 1969. He has been involved in the analysis of public policy questions since 1962 when he joined the Policy Planning Staff for International Security Affairs in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. In 1965 he became Deputy Director of the Program Evaluation Staff in the Bureau of the Budget and participated there in the development of planning-programming-budgeting systems for a number of federal agencies.
