Michelle brings over a decade of investment experience to her role as a Partner at Ignition and a mentor to entrepreneurs and executives in digital media and the consumer internet. Michelle has a fascination with the drivers of consumer adoption and brings her experience investing in SEO, social media, advertising analytics, and digital commerce to understanding the trends that will next fuel the web. She advises companies and funds entrepreneurs who are fundamentally changing and expanding the way we interact and use technology. Michelle has a passion for building a mentor and peer network of women in technology, finance and digital media based on her understanding of how women interact on the internet and how they will lead the next generation of companies. Through her work in mobile, SaaS, big data and cloud computing, Michelle has deep respect for the technology that makes the internet scale and sing. Michelle currently sits on a number of boards of companies in media, digital commerce, consumer mobile, and internet advertising including SEOMoz and Glympse. Her non-profit board work is in early childhood education and how it can be delivered online. Michelle was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Technology by the Puget Sound Business Journal and was a "40 under 40" Honoree. Prior to joining Ignition, she consulted to Microsoft's Developer Division, was an investment banker in mergers and acquisitions at Olympic Capital Partners, a management consultant with A.T. Kearney and a program manager at the China External Trade Development Council (CETRA) in Taiwan. Michelle earned a Master's degree from Harvard, and a Bachelor's degree from Columbia. She is a member of the 2013 Class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute.
