Seth has been focused on advanced vehicle technology since 2002. He is the CEO of TREXA, manufacturer of TREXA®—the world’s first open-source advanced electric drive vehicle platform. By providing the platform and after-sale support, TREXA enables low-volume manufacturers and independent car builders to compete in the emerging global market for zero-emissions vehicles. Prior to founding TREXA, Seth was CEO of Clean-Tech, LLC, where he identified and commercialized technologies in the low and zero emission transportation sector. In 2002, Clean-Tech developed advanced natural gas conversion technology for full-size SUVs and launched EVO, the world’s first alternative fuel limousine service, in Los Angeles, CA. In 2005, Clean-Tech unveiled EDrive™, the first publicly-demonstrated lithium plug-in hybrid retrofit system for the Toyota Prius. Seth was personally honored for his work at EDrive by President Bill Clinton at the U.S. Conference of Mayors Climate Protection Summit in 2007, and received the Environmental Hero Award from Congresswoman Lois Capps in Santa Barbara in 2008. Seth received his B.A. from Northwestern University in 1993, funded in part by proceeds from his first business, an ice cream shop, which he founded at the age of 12 in the Maine seaside town where he grew up. He is a member of the 2010 class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute.
