A graduate of UNC School of Law, Roger served as Legal Counsel to Governor James G. Martin in 1985-86 and joined the firm of Wyrick Robbins Yates and Ponton, LLP in 1987. At Wyrick Robbins, Roger was a member of the litigation section and successfully tried cases in state district and superior courts as well as U.S. District Courts. He also co-founded the government relations practice area at Wyrick Robbins While at Wyrick Robbins, Roger served as legal counsel to the Town of Wake Forest from 1996 to 2010. He served for six years as a member of the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Community Associations Institute (“NCCAI”), in addition to serving on the NCCAI Legislative Action Committee. He is a frequent speaker on election law and government ethics. In March, 2009 Roger was the planner/organizer and a speaker at the North Carolina Bar Association’s program on Lobbyists and Legislative Ethics. In March, 2010, Roger founded his own firm, concentrating in community associations, government relations, election law, and government ethics. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Biotechnology Center.
