Jane is a Managing Director in the Washington, D.C. office of Major, Lindsey & Africa. She focuses on the representation of individual law firm partners and groups. She also conducts searches for senior in-house positions. Prior to joining MLA, Jane was the Professional Development Partner and the Executive Partner for Talent Development at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in Washington, D.C. Before assuming this role Jane was a partner in Pillsbury's Global Technology Group focusing on IT sourcing, satellite systems and telecommunications. She also developed expertise in software licensing, development and maintenance contracts, and professional services agreements. Before joining the Global Technology Group, Jane practiced litigation at Shaw Pittman in a wide variety of matters before various courts and decision-making bodies. She has litigated before Australian courts with then Arthur Robinson & Hedderwicks, a leading law firm in Australia. Jane clerked for the Honorable James M. Sprouse, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Jane holds a J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, a M.Sc. from Brown University, a Dip. Ed. from Melbourne University, and an A.B. in mathematics, magna cum laude, from the College of the Holy Cross. Jane is a member of the Board of Trustees of the College of the Holy Cross and the Board of Governors of the John Carroll Society. In addition she is a member of the Advisory Boards of the National Museum of Women in the Arts and The Washington Home.
