Tiffany M. Edwards comes to Blue Engine Message & Media with experience as a senior communications counselor in the federal government with a particular focus on energy, education reform and child welfare policies. Most recently, Tiffany served as Press Secretary for the U.S. House Education and the Workforce Committee where she developed an expertise in planning and executing media strategies to build support around complex issues. In this role, Tiffany acted as spokeswoman and media strategist on a wide range of issues including student loans, No Child Left Behind, child safety and disability policy. Prior to joining the committee, Tiffany served as Deputy Press Secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy for the first two years of the Obama Administration. In that capacity, Tiffany was the primary department contact for journalists across the country on issues related to science, technology and electricity policy. Most notably, Tiffany oversaw and implemented the press rollout for the inaugural ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit and the America’s Next Top Energy Innovator challenge, both of which made it easier for start-up companies to succeed and create clean energy jobs in America. A veteran of the Obama-Biden 2008 campaign’s press staff in the Chicago headquarters and a native New Yorker, Tiffany received a B.A. in government and politics from the University of Maryland, College Park. In her spare time, Tiffany enjoys helping train a new generation of young philanthropists to collectively donate both their money and time to strengthen local communities with Capital Cause.
