Robert Metzgar previously served as President of North Penn Pipe & Supply, Inc. of Warren, Pennsylvania, a wholesale supplier of materials, goods, and services to oil and gas exploration companies and industrial supplies. Mr. Metzgar graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1960 and also pursued post graduate work in Business at the University. He is a member of the Penn State Behrend Council of Fellows, the Nittany Lion Club, the President's Club, and a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association. He currently serves on the PNC Bank Advisory Board; is Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Oil and Gas Association; and serves on the Board of Directors of the New York Oil and Gas Association. He also served as Charter President of the Tri City Chapter of the American Production and Inventory Control Society, and is a past member of the National Management Association. His civic organization memberships include the Warren Chamber of Commerce, Junior Chamber of Commerce, and the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Metzgar was named 1996 Alumni Fellow of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. Governor Ridge appointed Mr. Metzgar to serve on the Board of Trustees from May 1995 to April 2000. He was elected to serve on the Board as a business and industry trustee for a three year term beginning July 2000, and was reelected for two suceeding terms through June 2009.
