Lauren Crawford directs and executes grassroots and advocacy campaigns across numerous industries including healthcare, finance and hospitality, working to ensure every issue has a local voice. Lauren’s approach to grassroots advocacy applies the same tactics of political campaigns to a legislative or public affairs setting. She knows what trade associations and corporations need to do, outside of the beltway, to ensure their constituency and membership speaks out. Lauren has directed several of the largest legislative public affairs campaigns in Washington. She skillfully directs grassroots teams across all fifty states and is continuously meeting and training additional teams to further expand the network. Her work allows turnkey access for clients to deliver constituent responses to legislators at any point in any policy debate. Most recently, Lauren served as a partner of a boutique grassroots firm in Washington, DC. In that role, she ran campaigns for Fortune 500 companies and managed over 120 field operatives throughout 2009 alone. She advised clients on building and activating grassroots voices from employees to influential leaders. Prior to that, Lauren was at the Dewey Square Group, along with roles on the Hillary Clinton for President Campaign in Iowa, Nevada, and Washington. Lauren has additional campaign experiences in Ohio and with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). She has previous experience working for an educational nonprofit organization, the British Embassy Press Office, and conducting constituent work for Senator Maria Cantwell. Lauren is active in the DC community as a member of the Junior League of Washington, an advisor to undergraduates at the University of Maryland, and is the Chair of the University of San Diego Young Alumni Network. Lauren received her Bachelor’s from the University of San Diego and received a Masters in Government from Johns Hopkins University, magna cum laude.
