Andrew Colas, president of Portland's Colas Construction, received his bachelor's degree in 2004 from the University of Oregon's Lundquist College of Business. He began work in 2000 as a field assistant for the firm founded by his father, then served as a project manager following his UO graduation. Colas leads the business development and operational teams at Colas Construction and has used his experience in the field to redevelop the company's project delivery and project supervision systems. He focuses on investing in and creating jobs for underserved populations in his roles with the Colas Foundation and various other boards. He is the president of the Oregon chapter of the National Association of Minority Contractors and is a board member for the UO Alumni Association, the Oregon Construction Contractors and New Avenues for Youth. He has also served as a board member for the City of Portland Housing Bureau.
