Usman brings over 16 years of experience in the areas of Finance, Accounting and Operations to the Berico team. Aligned with the company’s financial and business objectives, he directly overseas Berico’s primary Administrative functions to include Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Legal & Contracts, Human Resources, and Facilities and Operations Management. Since joining Berico, he has led the implementation of an employee equity incentive plan, formalized annual employee performance incentive plans, implemented an annual budget process and a monthly forecast cycle, led the company’s HQ relocation from Arlington to Reston in 2012, led the 401k management transition, and has overseen the development and implementation of stronger internal controls. Usman comes to Berico from Deltek, Inc. where he was a member of the Senior Management Team as the Global Services Controller, and was responsible for day-to-day management of the Finance, Accounting, and Operations functions for the Professional Services division. Prior to Deltek, Usman held a senior level Finance position with AOL where he led a team and was directly responsible for the Finance and Accounting functions of a $500M Web Services Business Unit. Prior to AOL, he has held senior level positions at MDC Partners, Trilegiant, and GE Capital, and began his career in Public Accounting with Big 4 firm KPMG in Stamford, Connecticut.
