Thomas McMahon has worked in senior positions in New York City government for nearly twenty-five years. Most recently, he served as General Counsel to the New York City Council. Prior to that, (2002-2004) Mr. McMahon worked for the New York City Partnership and Chamber of Commerce as their Senior Vice-President for Government Affairs with responsibility for the business organization’s government affairs agenda in Washington, Albany and New York City. From 1989 through 1999, he worked at the New York City Council Finance Division, serving as Director of that office from 1994 to 1999. Tom McMahon is an expert on the New York City budgetary process. His knowledge encompasses both the technical and political aspects of securing funding for our clients. Mr. McMahon is also a lawyer with an in-depth understanding of New York City municipal law, the legislative process, and public finance. Mr. McMahon specializes in helping our clients understand the bureaucratic and political requirements that must be met in order to achieve the results the client desires.
