Greg has been with Kent State University since 1987. In addition to his current role as Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, he has held numerous administrative positions. In 1997, he was appointed to the University Student Ombuds; a year later he also assumed the title of Dean of Students and Student Ombuds. in 2007, he was promoted to Associate Vice President and Dean of Student for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs. As the vice president, Jarvie is responsible for the comprehensive enrollment management and student affairs program that includes: admissions, financial aid, adult and veteran services, campus life, residence life-housing, dining services, student health, career services, student judicial services, recreational services, Kent Student Center, counseling center, student accessibility services, and the student ombuds. He is a strong believer in public higher education and has been actively involved at the university, state and federal level on issues and initiatives related to student access, success, and overall retention. Jarvie's number one priority is the students he works with on a daily basis. He advocates for students on a variety of issues that pertain to student success in and out of the classroom. Greg is a proud Alumnus of Kent State University; receiving his Masters in Higher Education Administration. He earned his Bachelor's in Education from Marshall University. He resides in Brimfield, Ohio with his two daughters: Margaret, who attends Kent State, and Emily, who is currently in high school.
