State Representative Gerald Stebelton first was sworn into the Ohio House of Representatives in 2007 and is currently serving his third term. He represents the 5th House District, which encompasses all of Fairfield County. A graduate of Lancaster High School, Representative Stebelton received his bachelor's degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from The Ohio State University and his law degree from Capital University. In addition to his work in the legislature, Representative Stebelton is the founder and senior partner of the law firm Stebelton, Aranda & Snider in Lancaster. His previous public service positions include two terms on Lancaster City Council and two terms on the Lancaster Board of Education. He has also worked for the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office, Battelle Memorial Institute, and Grumman Aircraft and Rockwell International as an aeronautical engineer. Representative Stebelton is a member of the American, Ohio, and Fairfield County Bar Associations, Lancaster Sherman Rotary Club, American Association for Justice and American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He served as chairman of the Lancaster-Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in 2006 and has chaired many other Fairfield County community organizations including the Fairfield County United Way and the Lancaster High School Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame Committee. He and his wife Rebecca have been married for 47 years. They have two adult children, Laura (Jeff) Mason and David, and one granddaughter, Caroline Mason.
