Christine C. Rutigliano is Legislative Director for The Roffe Group. Prior to joining the firm, she held the position of Deputy Comptroller in the New York Office of State Comptroller (OSC). Ms. Rutigliano spent nearly 15 years working for the New York State Legislature, spending time in both the New York State Senate and Assembly. She served the State Senate Democratic Conference as Finance Secretary under then leader David Paterson and, prior to that, served as Budget Director. She supervised the day-to-day operations and long term goals of the entire committee staff, managing both the expenditure and revenue components of the New York State budget for the conference. Prior to her duties with the State Senate, Christine served in the State Assembly in various capacities for ten years. For three years, she served as a budget analyst for its Ways and Means Committee, where she broadened her public service horizons and became well versed in policy and fiscal needs of the state. She began her public service career in 1988 with Assembly Communications and Information Services where she honed her writing, researching and management skills. Ms. Rutigliano received her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Economics from the State University of New York at Oneonta, including studies at The London School of Economics, and her Masters’ degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Public Policy at Marist College, where she was named Outstanding Scholar in her program.
