Joseph Lewis recently joined the Panel for Educational Policy. His career in finance spans over a decade, having worked in interest rate derivatives at Citigroup, Barclays Capital, and Lehman Brothers. Additionally, Mr. Lewis is a board member for several education organizations, including Teaching Matters, NYCAN, Opportunity Agenda, and is a former board member at Leadership Prep Charter School in Brooklyn. He holds a bachelor ‘s degree in economics and public policy from Duke University, a master’s degree in economics from New York University, and attended P.S. 269 and I.S. 246 Walt Whitman in Brooklyn. He is currently founding a non-profit that focuses on college and career readiness, and currently resides in Bedford-Stuyvesant with his family.
