In 2006, Laura was named president emerita of the University of Phoenix. She then became president and CEO of Saras Education, Inc. where she provided professional management and consultation to institutions of higher education, including enrollment and retention support, technology and distance learning capacity. Most recently, Laura served as president and CEO of Potomac College in Washington DC, where she gained approval for the college’s first Master’s degree. Dr. Noone has served as a member of the secretary of higher education’s National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI), on the board of directors for the American Council on Education (ACE) and on the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education for 13 years. She is a faculty member of Harvard’s Graduate School of Education for the Management of Lifelong Education. She is a member of the board of directors of Lumina Foundation, where she serves as the chair of the Audit and Finance Committee. Laura holds a BBA from the University of Dubuque, MBA and JD from the University of Iowa and a PhD in Higher Education from the Union Institute and University. She and her husband Stephen Noone reside in Tempe, AZ with their two children Katerina and Nicholas.
