John R. Castle, Jr., is a private practice attorney and former Executive Vice President of EDS Corporation. He was appointed by Governor Perry in 2004 to serve on a nine-member Council for the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), and he is a member of the Boards of the Dallas Foundation (presently Chair) and The Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest. He is former President of the Board of the Dallas Institute and presently serves on its Board of Directors, and he currently serves on the Dallas Institute's Martin Luther King, Jr., Symposium Advisory Council. Mr. Castle is also a Board member of CitySquare, Paul Quinn College, and the Trinity Forum, an international leadership academy, and he chairs the Advisory Board of On-Target Supplies and Logistics in Dallas. He received a Bachelor's degree and his law degree from the University of Texas. He lives in Dallas with his wife Dorothy.
