Bill Meyers, a McLean-based Booz Allen Hamilton Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, plays a key leadership role in the firm’s Law Department and provides senior-level strategic counsel across the spectrum of legal issues facing the firm, with a particular emphasis on employment law. Mr. Meyers joined Booz Allen in 1994 as Associate General Counsel, was promoted to Deputy General Counsel in 2006, and to Vice President in 2009. In this role he helps manage the Law Department's professionals and support staff. Mr. Meyers leads the Law Department's Employment Law Practice Group, which is responsible for handling all legal issues involving the firm's relationship with its employees, from pre-hire to post-termination. He counsels the firm’s leaders on complex personnel issues and represents Booz Allen in employment-related litigation matters. Mr. Meyers has led successful litigation efforts in courts and administrative agencies throughout the US and internationally, protecting the firm's reputation as an employer that not only complies with the various laws that govern the employment relationship, but also maintains its reputation as an employer of choice. Additionally, Mr. Meyers has managerial responsibility for the Law Department’s Commercial, Government Affairs and Real Estate practice groups. He also serves as Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the firm's Employees Capital Accumulation Plan (ECAP) Board of Trustees. Prior to joining Booz Allen, Mr. Meyers served as Assistant General Counsel for the Department of the Navy, where he focused on government contracts law and employment law. Mr. Meyers received a B.S. degree in business administration/accounting from the University of Connecticut and a J.D. from Georgetown University. He is a member of the bars of Virginia, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia.
