Dick Johnson, a McLean, VA-based Booz Allen Hamilton Vice President, is a leader in the firm’s Air Force business, specializing in systems engineering and integration (SE&I) of C4ISR systems. Mr. Johnson has 25 years of experience in engineering and integration of complex space and communications systems. His experience includes: Serving as technical director for a large multi-contractor team performing SE&I for a next-generation global satellite communications system Developing advanced systems engineering approaches and methods for complex systems Developing advanced waveforms and signal processing algorithms for protected satellite communications systems Developing international standards for protected and broadband satellite communications Supporting narrowband and broadband commercial satellite ventures and worked with corporations to optimize their product portfolios’ focus on emerging network-centric opportunities Serving as Deputy Program Manager supporting a Mobile Satellite System (MSS) \licensee to design, develop, and acquire a next-generation wireless system His functional expertise includes: Satellite system architecture trades Communications systems and waveform design Systems engineering and integration Requirements and functional decomposition Integration of space systems with network infrastructure Prior to joining Booz Allen, Mr. Johnson worked on the upgrade of the Patriot radar from air defense to tactical missile defense for Raytheon Company. Mr. Johnson holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering and computer science from The Johns Hopkins University and an M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
