Andrea Inserra, a Rockville-based Booz Allen Hamilton Senior Vice President, is recognized for her expertise in program and system management, organizational re-engineering and transformation, and collaborative research within the firm’s healthcare market. Ms. Inserra’s business focus has included the identification and implementation of improvements in healthcare, specifically in clinical research, such as enabling electronic clinical trials data management and improved interoperability and collaboration among the research and clinical health communities. She leads the firm’s Behavioral Health and Suicide Prevention market capability supporting programs to enhance the well-being and psychological health for service members, veterans, and military families. Ms. Inserra implemented a community-based model to facilitate collaboration and improve in the integration of efforts across federal, private and nonprofit organizations in addressing the challenges of the military and their families. She leads pro-bono community-based summits to address the challenges military families face, including unemployment, education, behavioral and physical health issues, and access to care. Ms. Inserra provides senior leadership to project teams that serve the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Defense (DoD) Military Health System (MHS). Prior to joining Booz Allen, Ms. Inserra served in engineering positions for Mobil Oil Corporation and Armstrong World Industries. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology Consulting, Inc., and supports the Capital Hospice. She holds an M.B.A. from the Pennsylvania State University and a B.S. degree in industrial engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.
