An Executive Vice President at Booz Allen Hamilton, Mike Thomas leads the firm’s National Security Agency business. His key areas of expertise include systems development and technology, and he has worked closely with the intelligence community. Prior to joining Booz Allen in 2010, Mr. Thomas was president of the Security Product Line at Lockheed Martin’s IS&GS organization, where he provided knowledge solutions capabilities, intelligence mission management, and processed and disseminated intelligence data for enhanced national and tactical decision making. He also directed day-to-day business operations, including contract performance, financial management, strategy development, implementation of advanced research, and human resource management. Mr. Thomas’ career highlights include several years as IBM’s White House account manager for national federal accounts, and business area manager for new and advanced programs, where he was responsible for a major classified COTS development effort. As vice president of special application programs for Lockheed Martin Mission Systems, he led the redirection of the business into imagery and geospatial programs and expanded into the federal, commercial, and international markets. He is a member of the boards of the Intelligence & National Security Alliance (INSA) and the US Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF). He is a member of the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association (AFCEA) and National Military Intelligence Association (NMIA). In addition, he formerly served as chair of the Business Executive Advisory Board and is a current member of the Board of Visitors for James Madison University College. Computerworld Magazine named him as one of its Premier 100 IT Leaders. Mr. Thomas received a B.A. degree in finance and marketing from Madison College. He was a Fellow of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI on Foreign Politics, International Relations, and the National Interest.
