Based in the Washington-Baltimore area, Booz Allen Hamilton Executive Vice President Angie Messer leads the firm’s Emerging Technologies and Mission Solutions initiatives in Booz Allen’s Strategic Innovation Group. Core capabilities include C2ISR, Cyber TVI, Health, Enterprise and HLS. Key mission areas include Digital Enterprise, Social Media & Collaboration, Mobile Technologies, IaaS/PaaS/IdMgmtaas, Mission Engineering 2.0, and Data Science & Enterprise Data Mgmt. Previously, she led the firm’s Army business within the broader defense market, including Army Headquarters, Army Material Command (AMC), Forces Command (FORSCOM), Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Installation Management Command (IMCOM), and in many PEOs, Direct Reporting Units, and Army Service Component Commands providing services in these key mission areas: Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Information Technology Acquisition, Program Management and Logistics Research & Development (R&D) Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and high yield Explosives (CBRNE) Ammo & Munitions She also oversaw major Army IDIQ contracts such as ITES2S, S3 and R23G. Ms. Messer’s extensive portfolio includes a full spectrum of consulting, technology and engineering capabilities. She developed numerous solutions and strategies for DoD and Army clients, especially in the areas of: Information Technology, Enterprise Systems & Agile Development Cloud Computing, Data & Business intelligence Cyber Program management and Rapid Acquisition Netcentric systems Distributed learning Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) A sought-after speaker, Ms. Messer has been featured at events for AFCEA, the US Army Women’s Foundation, US Military Academy at West Point – NCEA Conference, the 2010 Washington Ideas Forum, the 2012 AUSA Sustainment conference, and the Bloomberg Big Data seminar, among others. A former US Army officer, Ms. Messer has also worked as an account executive for a commercial organization in Australia. She later managed two major commercial businesses and launched a software development company. As a second-generation Cuban-American, she supports multiple diversity and volunteer initiatives for Latin American leaders, Senior African American Mentoring circles and Wounded Warriors and Veterans. She’s an active Board member for the DC Metro United Service Organizations (USO), a nonprofit, charitable corporation providing morale, welfare, and recreation-type services to uniformed military personnel and their families. Ms. Messer is a West Point Military Academy graduate who earned a B.S. degree in engineering management and holds an M.S. degree in management from the Florida Institute of Technology
