Mr. Albert J. Neupaver, also known as Al, serves as Managing Director of Wabtec South Africa and FIP Brakes South Africa. Mr. Neupaver has been the Chairman of Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corporation (doing business as Wabtec Corporation) since May 14, 2014 and served as its Executive Chairman since May 2013 to May 2017. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corporation from February 1, 2006 to May 14, 2014 and served as its President from February 1, 2006 to May 2013. He served as the President of the Electromechanical Group at Ametek, Inc. from January 10, 1997 to January 31, 2006. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Wabtec Corporation at Swiger Coil Systems, LLC from February 1, 2006 to May 2013. Mr. Neupaver joined AMETEK in 1988 as a Vice President and General Manager of its Specialty Metals Products Division. In 1993, he was promoted to President of the AMETEK's Industrial Materials Group and became a member of the Executive Office. He spent 11 years with Pfizer, Inc. He has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Faiveley Transport S.A. since November 30, 2016. He serves as a Director of Koppers Inc. and Carnegie Science Center. He has been a Director of Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corporation since February 1, 2006, Wabtec Corporation since February 1, 2006 and Genesee & Wyoming Inc. since September 28, 2015. He has been an Independent Director of Koppers Holdings Inc. since August 05, 2009. He serves as a Trustee at Carnegie Institute. He served as a Director of Robbins & Myers Inc. from January 2009 to February 2013. He served as an officer on nuclear submarines from 1972 to 1977. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves for the next 25 years and retired as a captain in 2002. He was Captain from the United States Naval Reserves. Mr. Neupaver holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1972 and a Master's Degree in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering in 1980 and a Master's Degree in Business Administration in 1982, both from the University of Pittsburgh.
