Graham M Weston

Graham Weston made his fortune from Rackspace.com, a company that does web-hosting and cloud-computing. Raised on a ranch near San Antonio, he started his first venture in high school, taking photos of livestock shows and selling them to contestants. After college at Texas A&M he went into real estate. In 1998 three college students asked him to invest in their web-hosting startup and Weston joined Rackspace as CEO, stepping down in 2006. He is now chairman and the company's largest shareholder. He supports San Antonio science and education projects including a computer terminal at the public library where students can see the view from a ship exploring the ocean's floor. He supports efforts to expand San Antonio's tech community, and he backs a local initiative that would raise sales taxes to fund pre-kindergarten programs.
