Steven L Beal

Steve Beal has served as a director of Concho since 2006 and currently serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee as well as a member of the Nominating & Governance Committee. Mr. Beal was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Concho from February 2006 until his retirement effective June 30, 2009. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Beal was a director and senior officer of two private companies, and employed by Parker & Parsley Petroleum Company (now Pioneer Natural Resources) in a variety of capacities, including serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and as a member of its Executive Committee. From 1981 until 1988, Mr. Beal was employed by the accounting firm of Price Waterhouse LLP (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP). Mr. Beal was previously a director of First Financial Bankshares, Inc. and ProPetro Holding Corp. He is a graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting.
