Paula Uribe, a non-lawyer, provides strategic consulting, risk management and other advisory services to clients in the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. She brings to her work the deep cultural sensitivity and a wealth of knowledge and experience working with corporations, governments and civil society organizations she gained as the Senior Advisor for Social Policy, where she reported directly to the Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs at the United States Department of State and provided advice and strategic direction in dealing with matters of high priority for the administration. Ms. Uribe developed enduring relationships with ministers and other government officials in the Americas, the United Nations, the Organization of American States, and others. She worked closely with Secretary Hillary Clinton’s staff on a range of issues. During her time at the U.S. Department of State, Ms. Uribe gained particular experience developing, managing and delivering Latin American related messages and positions for conferences, printed media, radio and television.
