David Parker is the Chief Operating Officer of The Archstone Partnerships. He is responsible for strategy, long-range planning, governance, and all management-related issues. In addition, he leads Archstone’s operational due diligence effort and is a member of Archstone’s Executive Committee. The Archstone Partnerships manage a family of multi-strategy fund of hedge funds, allocating capital for each fund across a diversified group of hedge fund strategies and managers with the objective of producing absolute returns. The firm manages approximately $3.8 billion in assets. Prior to Archstone Mr. Parker co-founded Interprise Technology Partners, L.P. capitalized at $110 million to make private equity investments in information technology companies. From 1992 to 1998, Mr. Parker organized ProSource, Inc. where he grew the company to $4 billion in annual revenue, taking it public in 1996. Prior to this, he was President of Ryder System’s vehicle leasing and service division and was a manager with the Boston Consulting Group. Mr. Parker is the Presiding Director at Tupperware Corporation and Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of Florida International University. He was Chairman of the FlU Foundation board from 1994 to 1997 and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University from 2005 through 2009. Mr. Parker received a B.S. degree in engineering from the University of Texas and an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar. Director of Spherion since February 2003.
