Margy Christiansen has been a government relations consult for the past 35 years and is one of the most respected and premier lobbyists in Colorado. She has grown from a sole practitioner, to an affiliate with Intermountain Corporate Affairs, and for the past several years, she has been the sole owner of a successful consulting firm--Christiansen Corporate Resources. Christiansen has a multiple state lobby presence as she has operated in five different state legislatures. Christiansen served under four Colorado Governors where she has been appointed to membership on various state boards and commissions. She brings an excellent reputation, depth of knowledge and years of experience on a variety of issues, with a focus on water and natural resources. Christiansen served as a State Representative in the Colorado General Assembly from 1984-1990, representing southwest Colorado, and has remained involved in state policy-making since. As a legislator, she specialized in water law, tort and insurance legislation and trust and estate issues. Her long tenure of living and working in western Colorado gives her a unique perspective and knowledge base as she balances “West Slope” interests with "Front Range" and "Metro" issues.
