Daniel L Florness

Florness is in his current position since 2015. During his 22-year career at Fastenal, he served as CFO from 1996 to 2015 as well as executive vice president from 2002 until 2015. Prior to Fastenal, he spent 10 years with accounting firm KPMG LLP. Daniel L. Florness has been the Chief Financial Officer of Fastenal since joining the company in 1996. Dan took over the duties of Fastenal Treasurer in 1997. Dan grew up in western Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, earning a Bachelor's Degree in accounting in 1986. After college graduation and before joining Fastenal, Dan spent 10 years working for KPMG Peat Marwick LLP in Minneapolis and New Jersey.
