David Stein

Prior to joining Promontory, David served as Managing Counsel both at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and at the Federal Reserve Board's Division of Consumer and Community Affairs. In those roles, David led rulemaking projects and the development of regulatory policy in the areas of payments and electronic banking, credit reporting, deposit accounts, and certain aspects of mortgage lending. David also served as a regulatory attorney at the Federal Reserve Board where he crafted regulations on credit reporting, payments and electronic banking, fair lending, privacy, and consumer credit. David was involved in numerous interagency regulatory projects.
