Prior to joining Promontory, Amanda worked as the head of compliance for a number of regulated institutions in the United Kingdom, including a global European investment bank and a large U.S. asset-servicing company. In these roles, Amanda was responsible for implementing the required organizational and system changes following two major changes in U.K. financial services regulation. She also oversaw the integration worldwide of two European banks. Her experience covers a wide range of financial instruments and commercial banking products, particularly equity-related products and equity capital markets. As a regulator, Amanda spent a number of years in enforcement, investigating and preparing cases for prosecution. She later transferred to supervision, looking after a wide range of firms, from major financial groups to small commodity and investment brokers. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Amanda focused on forensic accounting, investigating fraud, loss of profit, personal injury cases, and preparing expert witness reports for courts and other authorities.
