Lisa Dolberry Hancock is a Vice President and Program Officer at The Goldman Sachs Foundation, a global philanthropic organization whose mission is to promote excellence and innovation in education and to improve the academic performance and lifelong productivity of young people worldwide. Funded by The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. in 1999, the Foundation has awarded grants of $94 million since its inception, providing opportunities for young people in more than 20 countries. Prior to joining The Goldman Sachs Foundation in 2007, Lisa was Associate Director, Philanthropic Programs, at Time Warner. While at Time Warner, she developed and launched the company’s youth media and arts grant program and managed the company’s education initiatives, which focused on increasing access to high quality college preparation opportunities for underserved youth. Prior to joining Time Warner, Lisa was a consultant with TCC Group (formerly The Conservation Company) where she developed and evaluated grant programs for foundations. Earlier in her career, she managed program initiatives for the Mellon Minority Undergraduate Fellowship Program at the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and played a key role in developing and launching a Mellon and Ford Foundation funded diversity initiative at the Council on Foreign Relations. Lisa received a Master of International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University, and a BS in International Area Studies from Drexel University.
