Stacey Rowland is a member of the firm’s Government Relations practice and focuses on government affairs. She previously served as the deputy superintendent for Intergovernmental and Legislative Affairs for the New York State Insurance Department, as an assistant Attorney General, as assistant counsel to the state comptroller, and as assistant counsel to the New York Senate Finance Committee. Leveraging her significant experience in the state government process, Stacey has been able to assist many clients in the insurance, banking, higher education and health care sectors on legislative, regulatory or budgetary issues. As a member of the firm’s Insurance Regulatory practice, Stacey also helps clients navigate the labyrinth of rules and regulations being issued at the newly created New York State Department of Financial Services. She also represents clients at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL), and other national insurance organizations. Through relationships she has built and maintained in the private sector and at all levels of state government, Stacey has access to key decision-makers whose assistance can help her clients meet their objectives.
