Timothy Sheridan

Mr. Sheridan joined Capitol Group, LLC almost ten years ago and has been a significant reason for the firm’s success over the last decade. Mr. Sheridan’s astute no-nonsense approach to lobbying and government affairs has allowed him to deliver successful results for our clients time after time. Recent client accomplishments include embarking on a major political battle that ultimately prevented the State Legislature and the Governor from improperly seizing millions of dollars in state revenue earmarked for a major statewide association, orchestrating the passage of a groundbreaking law to promote a statewide tourism and recreation initiative and blocking the passage of a law detrimental to New York’s pharmacy industry. In addition to over twenty years of lobbying and government affairs experience, Mr. Sheridan has held several high-ranking positions in state government and private industry. These positions include Program Research Analyst for the Office of the Assembly Speaker, Assistant Vice President for Government Affairs for the NYS Urban Development Corporation, Director of Governmental Affairs for Governor Mario M. Cuomo, Director of Government & Member Services for the NYS Business Council, and Director of Scheduling for Governor Hugh L. Carey. Tim is a graduate of Niagara University.
