Martha Scott Smith is Director of Public Affairs/Foundations at AT&T-SE. During her 30-plus year tenure at AT&T (Bellsouth), Smith has held positions in marketing, human resources and public relations. Active in the community, Martha is a founding member of Women in Philanthropy and Millennium Magazine's "Celebrating Your Gifts" Youth Awards. She is also currently president of the Columbia Urban League Guild; the Governor’s appointee to the board of trustees of South Carolina State University; and a member of the Columbia Chapter of LINKS Inc, Southeastern Institute for Women in Politics and Allen University Foundation board. Martha has served as the chairman of the board of directors for the American Red Cross, Midlands Technical College Foundation, the South Carolina State Museum and South Carolina Voices for Children. Martha attended South Carolina State University and received her Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences and Science from the University of South Carolina.
