Barbara Rackes has been a business entrepreneur for more than 25 years and she directs the internet consulting group that bears her name. Before launching TheRackesGroup (TRG), Barbara led several technology companies including Excelorant, Syneractive, and Levity Technologies. Her e-business ventures follow twenty successful years in traditional brick and mortar retail. An active contributor to her community, Barbara is a current board member and vice president for communications for The Southeastern Institute for Women in Politics. She has previously chaired or served on many local, state and national boards including the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond small business board, the University of South Carolina Educational and Research Foundation boards, Claflin College Business advisory board, the Palmetto Health Foundation board of directors and the Governor's Commission for Management, Accountability, and Performance (MAP). Barbara received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and attended the University of South Carolina School of Law and International School of Law in Washington, DC. Barbara and her husband, Michael Mann, have five children ranging in age from 12 to 34.
