Shawn Sheehy is an attorney with HoltzmanVogelJosefiak PLLC, with a primary focus on election law, tax-exempt organizations, campaign finance, and lobbying and ethics compliance. Shawn also recently second-chaired in the case, Fletcher v. Lamone, which challenged Maryland’s congressional redistricting scheme. Prior to joining HoltzmanVogelJosefiak PLLC, Shawn worked in Virginia’s Office of the Attorney General in the Public Safety and Enforcement Division. While there, Shawn drafted several merits briefs for Assistant Attorneys General involving criminal appeals before both the Virginia Supreme Court and the Virginia Court of Appeals. Before going to law school, Shawn worked as a research assistant at FRC Action, a 501(c)(4) organization. While there, Shawn drafted voter guides for the 2006 congressional elections and the 2008 presidential elections. He also drafted speeches for FRC officers. Shawn received his J.D. from the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law and his B.A. in Classics and Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross.
