The oldest of Hans Rausing's three children lives in Holland Park, and has a 32,000-acre home in Scotland. She is married to Peter Baldwin, professor of history at Los Angeles university, and is herself a historian, with a doctorate from Harvard. The couple run a trust called Arcadia to donate part of her fortune. It funds charities and other organisation that "preserve cultural and social knowledge or protect natural diversity". The fund gave £20m to the London School of Oriental and African Studies, and £2.5m towards a programme to put Harvard's library collection online. Co-founder of Arcadia. Lisbet has a doctorate in history from Harvard, and has taught on the faculties of Harvard and Imperial. She currently serves on the advisory boards of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, the National Library of Israel and the Cambridge Conservation Inititative.
