Mr. Beebe joined CBRE in 1994 and held various leadership positions, including Market Leader of the Atlanta office, President of the Eastern Division and, at the time of his retirement in 2007, Chief Learning Officer, where he was responsible for the company’s professional development activities, including CBRE University. He continued to serve as a mentor and counselor to many CBRE professionals following his retirement and remained a popular instructor at CBRE University. Since 2009, Mr. Beebe has served as the Ledbetter Professor of the Practice of Real Estate Development at the Georgia Institute of Technology, continuing his lifelong passion for advancing real estate education and fostering the professional development of others. He was a 1966 graduate of Georgia Tech. Before joining CBRE, Mr. Beebe had a distinguished career in real estate development, including senior roles at Cousins Properties; Mobil Corp., where he established its real estate subsidiary in Atlanta; and Wilma Southeast, which he served as President.
