Executive Office of the President
The EOP, overseen by the White House Chief of Staff, with the current EOP employing over 1,800 people.
Established in the Executive Office of the President by the Prioritizing Resources and Organization for Intellectual Property Act of 2008 (122 Stat. 4256). The coordinator chairs the interagency intellectual property enforcement advisory committee; coordinates the development of the Joint Strategic Plan against counterfeiting and infringement by the advisory committee; assists, as requested, in the implementation of the Joint Strategic Plan; facilitates the issuance of relevant policy guidance; and reports to the President and Congress on his duties and responsibilities.
