An American international fast food restaurant chain founded by Dave Thomas on November 15, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio. The company moved its headquarters to Dublin, Ohio, on January 29, 2006.
Starting out as a single restaurant in Columbus, Ohio in 1969 and rew into one of the largest restaurant chains in the U.S. While there are well over 6,000 Wendy's locations open for business in the U.S. in 2024, only a few hundred of those are company-owned. Wendy's announced plans to close down more than 100 of its outlets in 2024.
